WINE AND DINE

Sign on for our WINE & DINE package. On your first night you will sample elegant whites and hearty reds from New Zealand, France and Chile. You'll then follow in the wake of the gold rush California Clippers to discover fruits of The Golden State's true treasure field: the Napa Valley.

But neither man nor women can live on wine alone. Enhance you wine tasting and refresh your palette by indulging in the contrapuntal delights of artisan cheeses gathered from the Captain's voyages. Our Taleggio will excite you. The creamy delights of a well aged Camembert will fill your head with sensual delight.

Next morning, after a relaxing slumber, you will awaken to the aroma from the Captain's Coffee Service left discretely beside your door. After dressing, amble down the stairs to the Harbour Dining Room and indulge yourself in a most satisfying breakfast.

The rest of the day is yours to spend as you will. Explore the tree lined streets of our historic town or take the 'round town tour on the Sight Seeing Trolley. The Trolley Depot is the Visitors Center, just a few blocks north on Broad Street. If shopping is your idea of a day well spent, Edenton has a lovely downtown where unique gifts and sundries may be found.

Or just lay about. It's your choice.

That evening a gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Diane awaits you. Select your wine from among those you experienced the previous night; then sit back and enjoy a full course meal in the intimate atmosphere of the Harbour Dining Room.

After dinner sit on the front porch with your favorite after dinner beverage and enjoy the passing scene, or take a leisurely walk.

Enjoy and relax in comfort at the Captain's Quarters Inn. If the gentle breezes of the Albemarle Sound call to you, the Captain has the answer.  By special arrangement, the 34 foot sloop Sandpiper is available to our guests. Who knows, perhaps an afternoon sail with Captain Bill will give you a different view of life.

GOLF AND DINE

Or perhaps you'd rather play 18 holes of golf? The Sound Golf Links at Albemarle Plantation is a Low Country beauty. "A course designed by two of the best names in golf, Dan Maples and Mother Nature."

After your delightfully busy day you will be prepared to enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by our own Chef Diane.

After you dine and push back your chair, it's only a few steps to our wraparound porch where you can sit back and lounge with a refreshing beverage in your hand.

Evening is a quiet time in the small town of Edenton. As was your day, this time is yours to relax in, and enjoy.
